She’s been flying under the radar as of late, but Denise Richards is back and heading to Spike TV.

The 39-year-old actress is set to join the cast of the football comedy called “Blue Mountain State” in a recurring role as woman named Debra.

Co-star Darin Brooks told Us magazine, “She plays the coach’s ex-wife, and I think I sleep with her!”

Continuing on, Brooks added, “Everyone said she was really cool, really nice, it was great to work with her. I’m really looking forward to sleeping with her!”

On December 25, 2009, Charlie Sheen allegedly held a knife to wife Brooke Mueller’s throat and said: I’ll kill you.

A one-time occurrence from a (possibly) cocaine-fueled, troubled actor? Not exactly, new court documents reveal.

According to TMZ, Sheen’s ex-wife Denise Richards might testify in the comedian’s criminal case next month. The disturbing reason?

The district attorney is interested in a declaration Richards signed (under penalty of perjury) on December 30, 2005. On that day, she got a restraining order against the Two and a Half Men star and swore the following in court:

In the middle of an argument, Denise was holding her and Charlie’s daughter Lola. From there, Sheen “pushed me, shoving me with his two hands between my shoulders. I was forced backwards and tripped over one of the children’s toys and fell on the floor with Lola.”

Under oath, Richards said her husband screamed: “I hope you f-cking die, bitch… You are f-cking with the wrong guy.”

Sheen denied this allegation at the time, but a prior incident of wife-threatening won’t bode well for the actor. If subpoenaed, Richards will testify about this exchange in a Colorado trial, where Sheen faces a felony charge of menacing.

It sounds as though the nickname given to Sheen’s iconic Major League character (“Wild Thing”) applies to the actor, as well.

The D.A. in Aspen may call Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, to testify about an alleged incident that is eerily similar to the allegations of his current wife, Brooke Mueller.

We’re told the Pitkin County D.A. has had law enforcement in L.A. County contact Richard’s agent and lawyer, about Denise possibly testifying in Charlie Sheen’s criminal case in Aspen. Specifically, sources tell us the D.A. is interested in a declaration Denise signed under penalty of perjury in 2005, when she got a restraining order against the “Two and a Half Men” star.

We’re told Richards will cooperate, but only if she’s forced to do so by subpoena.

Because God apparently hates CBS sitcoms as much as I do, Charlie Sheen’s fate has fallen into the hands of Denise Richards who’s spent every moment since their divorce building a career based on calling him an asshole. RadarOnline reports:

Colorado authorities want to interview at least three women from Charlie Sheen’s past as they get ready to prosecute the actor on domestic violence charges, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Ex girlfriends Brittany Ashland and Kelly Preston, plus ex wife Denise Richards are all being sought for interviews, a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
The district attorney handling Sheen’s case has not issued subpoenas and authorities want the women to cooperate voluntarily as they collect information about Sheen’s troubled past.

I don’t want to say this is the greatest moment of Denise Richards’ life, but I will say she’s wearing a party hat and spraying her kids in the face with champagne as we speak.

Well technically he called to talk to their daughters, Sam and Lola, to wish them a Merry Christmas.

Denise Richards opened up to Oprah about her past and present relationship with ex-husband Charlie Sheen saying about his Christmas Day arrest, “It’s sad. It’s a sad situation. Their dad was in jail on Christmas.”

One of the girls learned that Charlie was in jail from a kindergarten classmate! How sad!

Denise continues:

“I think that Charlie has a very sharp tongue. He played on my insecurities…I was terrified and relieved that I had the courage to [file for divorce]. Our daughters didn’t ask to be born into our conflict. It was impossible to make [our marriage] work.

“Charlie and I are in a good place now. It’s taken a lot of work on our part.”

We think it’s very mature of them both to put their children ahead of themselves…we’ll see what happens with Charlie’s current wife Brooke Mueller and their twin sons Bob and Max!

The most astounding aspect of the recent Charlie Sheen allegations? It isn’t that the actor may have held a knife to Brooke Mueller’s throat and threatened to have her professionally killed.

Instead, it’s the fact that Denise Richards now seems like the sane one in her former marriage to Sheen.

Richards and Sheen have two daughters together (Sam and Lola; you may have recognize them from the countless paparazzi photos Richards posed the kids for, and/or from her nauseating E! reality series) and got messily divorced in 2007.

Therefore, if there’s one woman that can relate to the troubles Mueller has gone through with Sheen, it’s this self-serving, talentless actress.

Seemingly in response to the scandal surrounding her ex, Richards Tweeted today:

It’s hard not to wonder what else the Q-list celebrity could spill. She’s already said Sheen exposes his private parts to minors over the Internet and beats on dogs.

But it looks like Denise Richards has found a way to sneak back into the celebrity gossip spotlight. Damn you, Charlie Sheen, for creating this opportunity!
