The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky, whose season premiered last night, says she’s no longer feuding with nemesis Vienna Girardi. All together now … Phew.
Chris Harrison, the show’s pimp-in-chief, confirmed the hatchet burying at Dancing With the Stars (which aired right after The Bachelorette season premiere).
The two ladies, who famously clashed on The Bachelor while in competition for Jake Pavelka, even “hugged each other and, said ‘Hi,’” back stage at the taping.
“That’s one of the ways Ali has grown as a person,” Chris said.
What, by not being a completely catty b!tch? Great job, Ali!
The Bachelorette star Ali, left, and The Bachelor winner Vienna … yeah.
Back in the day, Ali Fedotowsky would call out Vienna Girardi for, among other things, bragging that she’d “shake her boobs in Jake’s face,” but not any longer.
“[Ali] regretted some of that,” Harrison added. “I get it. Look, in the heat of the moment, on the show, you say some things, you regret certain things, there are things you look back and might not do and that was one of them. She apologized for that.”
Fedotowsky is “so happy for Jake,” Harrison went on about the new star. “She realizes now that it wasn’t meant to be, she wasn’t supposed to be with Jake.”
Harrison said he thinks Vienna Girardi got a bad rap as the villain on the show, and that anyone writing her off is presumptuous. Can’t we all just get along?
Apparently we can/ Jake Pavelka even posted a pic on Facebook of him, his fiancee and Ali. Oh, how times change (click here to be THG’s Facebook friend).
Moments after Shayne Lamas returned from her whirlwind wedding in Vegas last night, the former “Bachelor” winner revealed the one minor thing missing from her marriage to Nik Richie … they don’t LOVE each other!!!
Outside LAX, Shayne claimed the quickie wedding was not a publicity stunt … and that the Dirty duo, who’ve only known each other since Saturday, are only “in love with being in like with each other.”
Breaking The Bachelor curse, Jason and Molly Mesnick (formerly Molly Malaney) married Saturday in a torrential storm. But there was no raining on their parade.
The ABC broadcast of the wedding airs Monday night at 8, but the Mesnicks are already dishing about all the big day in a new interview. Some excerpts below …
On the weather, which triggered a tsunami warning: “It started raining as I was saying my vows. Jason and I just looked at each other and laughed,” Molly said.
Jason on his young son’s reaction: “Ty ran down the aisle literally a minute before Molly walked down the aisle. I had to talk him, I had a great moment with Ty, then literally 30 seconds later Molly appeared on the stairs and I started crying.”
That’s literally making us a little choked up …
Jason and Molly: A match made in heaven. Or The Bachelor. Or both.
On The Bachelor producers’ planning: “I had 100 percent control over every detail that had to do with the wedding,” Molly says. “Jason and I collaborated, obviously. [laughs] We had the power to make it any sort of wedding we wanted.”
On staying strong after The Bachelor: “We stayed away from Hollywood and went back to our lives,” Molly says. “We just focused on being a normal couple.”
“[Jake Pavelka] is doing Dancing with the Stars,” Jason said of his successor, “More power to him if he wants to, but being in Seattle with Ty is all we wanted.”
On performer Jason Castro: “Jason and I both love the version of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ he sang on American Idol. He was phenomenal,” Molly said.
Molly on married life so far: “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I look at Jason differently. Married life is the best feeling in the world and I wish it for everyone.”
Jason on that last comment: “Awww, that’s sweet, babe.”
If Jake Pavelka and Vienna Giraldi still want to tie the knot after watching “almost every episode” of The Bachelor together, then those two have a bond no amount of absurdity can break.
The betrothed couple haven’t watched the finale yet, however, Vienna said in an interview airing Thursday on Ellen, because, “We lived it. We know what happened.”
Ellen DeGenereswas surprised to hear that the couple were allowed to spend time together after getting engaged, which occurred several months before TV viewers witnessed the proposal.
And sure enough, she got Vienna and Jake to admit that they didn’t always toe the line.
“We’ve been together for the last three months,” Vienna said, sporting the princess-cut Neil Lane diamond Jake gave her on the Bachelor finale.
“Sneaking around?” Ellen asked.
“Yes, illegally,” Jake quipped.
“But we’re engaged, so we’re allowed to sneak around,” his fiancée added.
Jake, who will be back on ABC competing on Dancing With the Stars in a few weeks, said that there was no one moment in which he knew Vienna was the woman for him. In fact, there were many.
“There wasn’t any one single moment,” Jake said. “Your heart just starts to fall, but when it really turned around was we were in Napa Valley. It was a date combined with Gia at the vineyard and we sat there on a bench…”
“When [Vienna] snuck down and got in bed with you?” interjected Ellen.
“They made you look a little crazy with the lantern going through, searching all over,” DeGeneres told Vienna. “They edited that to make you look like a crazy woman looking for him in his bed.”
“You used a very good word just then—edited,” Vienna replied. “I can’t say it.”
“It was actually a 45-minute conversation,” Jake explained. “Coincidentally, everybody got to see the best three minutes of it but she described what love was, what she thought of love…The bedtime was later. But values, and spirituality, and different things like that. I just realized, Wow, we really line up.”
Vienna Girardi won The Bachelor Monday night. Maybe you heard.
This revelation came not only as a shock, but a huge disappointment to a large portion of the ABC series’ viewers, many of whom had fallen in love with Tenley Molzahn and/or Ali Fedotowsky and were hoping Jake would feel the same way.
According to Us, it was all part of her EVIL MASTER PLAN!
Vienna Girardi complained on the finale that her fellow contestants – particularly Ali, now the next Bachelorette, hated her. Perhaps they had good reason.
The magazine speculates that Vienna “set a trap” for Ali, and her adversary fell right into it, eventually taking herself out of the running. Diabolical …
TURNING TRICKS: Jake was apparently punked by Vienna. Sucks for him.
“You don’t see the things Vienna said to me. They were very hurtful,” Ali said on the post-finale “After The Final Rose” special, and she took it personally.
“Vienna would always thank us for coming to her ‘bachelorette’ or ‘engagement party,’ then tell us we were all going home,” another contestant reveals.
“Ali would just call her out on it.”
Fiercely competitive Vienna (“she always had to one-up people,” another castoff says) zeroed in on Ali as her main rival and vowed to TAKE HER OUT.
“Vienna would say to Ali that she was going to shake her boobs in Jake’s face,” explains another show insider. And oh, how she shook said boobs. Hard.
One of the girls in the house offers this theory for how Vienna was able to compel Jake Pavelka despite what some think are so many negative qualities:
“I think Jake hasn’t ever been with a girl like Vienna and is experiencing a ‘wild side.’ Once she figured that out, maybe she was a little more seductive.”
Just moments ago, Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi decided to spend eternity together on The Bachelor. Tears of joy flowed as he got down on one knee in St. Lucia.
Congrats, guys! We give it at least a couple of weeks!
‘Twas an epic season finale, even by Bachelor standards, as Jake was torn about which of the two women he was falling for would receive his final rose tonight.
But despite her best efforts, Tenley Molzahn could not compare to Vienna, a pariah all season but a free spirit who has always had a vice grip on Jake’s heart.
We’ll have a full recap of the night’s events up soon, but for now, we invite you to weigh in on The Bachelor season finale and “After the Final Rose” special.
Did you see this coming, or are you as shocked as the producers wanted you to be we are? Did Jake Pavelka make the right choice? Vote in our survey below …
The Bachelor star Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney became the first couple in the 13-season history of the show to get actually married Saturday in California.
If you want to get technical, though, no Bachelor star has wed his final rose recipient, as Jason dumped his, Melissa Rycroft, for runner-up Molly after the fact.
Somehow we don’t suspect Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi (who The Bachelor spoilers suggest he picks over Tenley Molzahn) to be the first. But moving on.
Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney made if official in front of an estimated 300 guests at the majestic Terranea Resort on the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
The nuptials, which will be televised on the two-hour March 8 ABC special The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding, were also marked by a driving rainstorm.
Rain on your wedding day. How ironic … or the result of an 8.8-magnitude earthquake hitting Chile earlier that day and causing a near tsunami in California.
Still, not even that could dampen the day for these two …
SOAKED BUT PSYCHED: Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney tie the knot!
“We’re really excited for them,” said former Bachelorette star, who vied for Mesnick’s heart on The Bachelor, and attended the nuptials with fiance Ed Swiderski.
“They are very ‘normal’ in one sense, but oboth of us have been through things in terms of the tabloids and drama after our shows were over,” adds Jillian.
Trista and Ryan Sutter (the only pair from TheBachelorette to wed thus far), DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csinsak and Kiptyn Locke were also among the guests.
They watched Molly Malaney, bedecked in a $45,000, strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and Neil Lane jewelry walk down a 200-ft. aisle to “Over the Rainbow.”
Sung by American Idol stoner alum Jason Castro, natch.
The ceremony lasted 15 minutes – and concluded with the release of white doves into the rainy skies, as Jason Mesnick tried to shield her from the rain.
Chris Harrison served as the officiant. Kidding … probably.
Following the romantic, momentous ceremony, the couple’s guests enjoyed cocktails before a reception … thankfully in an indoor ballroom at the resort.
Congratulations to the happy couple, who we wish nothing but the best. Click to enlarge some photos from Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney’s wedding …
